I believe in following dreams not just talking about them. I am a competitive runner that participates in extreme distance events that vary from 5k to 200 miles. Late in 2009 I decided to take a new path in my career and enrolled at Herzing University to become a Software Engineer. I have been exposed to many technologies within the software and information industry. I have always had a love for computers and technology. I knew that I could enrich my own life and the lives of others through the use of modern technology. These are examples of the the dedication I possess. The same desire of who I am as a person spills over into the work that I do for myself and that of others.
CDI Tech is a dream many years in the making. It is a culmination of years of industry experience, education, running, traveling, and a little bit of the school of hard knocks. It is my dream to continue to do the work I am passionate about, sharing my experience, education, and simply a passion for work and life with my clients to help them continue to improve themselves and their business.
Like my husband, I am a bit of a unique individual, enjoying running until my feet fall off, biking until the wheels fall off, and just plain squeezing every moment of experience and awe out of every day I possibly can. I haven't run 100 miles, but I've conquered 50 miles! My biggest downfall is that I enjoy so many things: running, biking, triathlons (even though I can't swim worth a darn), gardening, hunting, fishing, scuba diving, riding my Harley, teaching, designing courses, chasing my 4 year old around the farm, tending our chickens, and exploring the countryside in our big rig RV. All of this is possible because I work from home teaching, consulting, serving as a Subject Matter Expert, and helping design courses in accounting, human resources, management, and finance. I just love helping students find the passion for learning that I discovered while completing my PhD.
I have learned to keep my mind very open to whatever life may bring my way. Some of the most confusing U turns in life have helped me get myself to where I am today, in a career I absolutely love and in partnership in life and in business with an amazing person. If I'm lucky, the future will hold more of what I love: teaching, coaching, inspiring, and helping others in education, in business, and in life!
I bet you will be shocked to hear that I love to run just like my mom and dad! I like 5k's though. I'll leave the 100 miler's to my dad. I started 2nd grade this year and love it! My mom is a teacher, so I've been looking forward to school for a long time! Dad reads to me all the time. We have been reading about science, space and computer stuff of course! I'm pretty important around here. I'm the reason mom and dad do what they do! They get to be home with me and have shown me a LOT in my six short years. We go on adventures all the time. Mom and dad like to read me books about new things then we go out in our truck or go on adventures in our RV and go see the stuff we read about!! I've been to a lot of states already. Mom says I went through 8 states when I was just three weeks old! I even got to hike all the way to Mount Rushmore that weekend! Ok, so I was asleep the whole time and dad carried me, but I was there! My energy, inquisitiveness, and passion to learn inspire my mom and dad and drive them to do awesome things in their business and for our family!!
I can't wait to learn more about space, planets, and bugs (I love those too!). I hear we have a field trip next month at school and I'm pretty excited about that. We're studying many new things everyday!
